إِذَا عَطَسَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَقُلْ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلْيَقُلْ لَهُ أَخُوهُ أَوْ صَاحِبُهُ يَرْحَمُكَ اللَّهُ فَإِذَا قَالَ لَهُ يَرْحَمُكَ اللَّهُ فَلْيَقُلْ يَهْدِيكُمُ اللَّهُ وَيُصْلِحُ بَالَكُمْ
"If any one of you sneezes, he should say," ALHAMDULILLAH" (thanks God)
while his brother or his friend let say," YARHAMUKALLAH (may Allah bless you).
If his brother said, 'YARHAMUKALLAH' then he should say, "WA YAHDIKUMULLAH YUSHLIH BAALAKUM (may Allah give you guidance and improve your heart)." (Narrated by al-Bukhari, no. 6224 and Muslim no. 5033)
From Abu Hurayrah, he said, "Pray for your brother who sneezed three times. If more than three then he had a cold ". (Narrated by Abu Dawud no. 5034 and Al-Albaani said in Saheeh Abi Daud, "Saheeh in mauquf and marfu ')
Ibn Al-Qayyim may Allaah have mercy say, "In this hadith there are lessons to pray for her recovery, because flu is a disease. And of the hadith is also quoted for the elderly people who do not pray after the third sneeze. This hadith also contains an attention to this because for someone to understand them and not ignore it, so it makes it very difficult business. Thus saying, he sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam is the wisdom and grace, knowledge and guidance. "(Al-Ma'ad Zaad: 2/441)
