Courtesy When Istinja` (Defecate)

As a continuation of previous discussions about the unclean-that is, on this issue we will discuss some things about the manner of waste water according to the sunnah of the Prophet, sallallaahu alaihi wasallam-. And to facilitate discussion, then-adab adab in general we divide it into three parts:

A. Things that are prescribed in istinjaa `:
A. `Sunnah to protect himself by using water, because he is more purified and more clean up the filthy discharge. This is indicated in most of the hadith of the Prophet, sallallaahu `istinjaa alaihi wasallam, and also because Allah is the praise of the friends at Quba mosque in his words," In it there are people who love to purity. "(Surat at -Tawbah: 108) (Narrated by Abu Dawood from Abu Hurairah)

2. It is advisable to go to the loo and came out with the left foot right foot. Has Thabit that the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wasallam--that he entered the mosque with his right foot and left foot out, from here the scholars mengkiaskan that entered the place is dirty and out of her left foot with right foot. So the argument of the issue and that semisalnya is the working class, so if there is someone that goes to the loo and came out of it with his right foot because the postulate that the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wasallam a good start with the right (Narrated by Muslim, Aisha) then if Allah wills it It also does not matter. See Ash-Syarhul Mumti (1/108)

3. Before entering the toilet, reading the Sunnah prayer: "Bismillah, Allahumma inni a'udzu bika minal khubutsi wal khobaits (Bismillah, O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil men and evil women)."
Of Ali-radhiallahu marfu anhu-in ', "The barrier between the genie with the nakedness of Adam's children, when he entered into the wc-is to read' bismillah '." (Narrated by Ibn Majah) As for the prayer: "Allahumma inni ...," until the end then from the Anas hadith narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim.
If someone dispose of water in besides of buildings (eg in the woods or padang sand), then the this prayer be read when initial times a he opened the her nakedness. See Subulus Salam: 1/289 and Manarus Sabil: 1/38-39

4. Required to keep the private parts when istinjaa, not to see his private parts by anyone other than his wife and his slave. Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wasallam, said, "Take care of your wife and auratmu except your slave." (Narrated by Abu Dawood from Muawiah bin Haidah). Therefore, the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wasallam-that if he wanted to urinate so he went away until there is no one who saw him. (Narrated by Abu Daud of Jabir). But after the construction of toilet in his house, then he was pee in it, as indicated in the hadeeth of Ibn 'Umar.

5. Obligated for keep the body and clothing from unclean when the flue the water. Al-Bukhari and Muslim narrated from Ibn Abbas that the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wasallam, once passed by two graves of the two occupants was tortured. So he said, "As one of the two, then he is not berbersih when the waste water."

6. Sunnah rubbed his left hand to the ground or washing with soap after doing istinjaa `. Abu Hurairah said, "... And he to protect himself 'with (water) and then rubbed his hands to the ground." (Abu Daud).
Imam Ibn al-Mundhir said, "Then the Sunnah for the person who has to protect himself` with water to wash his hands with asynan (hand sanitizer) or otherwise, or rub it into the ground, to clean and deodorize the smell of unclean if it was left in his hands. "Look at Al-Isyaf (1/186-187) and As-Subul (1/291)

B. Thing-things that forbidden in istinjaa `:
A. Dimakruhkan talk with religious-related talks. It is based on the generality of the word of Allah, the Exalted, "And so for those who glorify the symbols-the symbols of Allah, then it is included from piety of heart." (Surat al-Hajj: 22) also have a friend who had greeted the Prophet sallallaahu alayhi SAW-pee in his circumstances, that he did not answer his greeting (Narrated by Muslim from Ibn 'Umar) then shows makruhnya it, and this is the opinion of Ibn Abbas, Al-Jubani Ma'bad, Atha' and Mujahid. Ikrimah said, "Do not he with his verbal remembrance in the loo, but with his heart." See: Nailul Authar (1/91-92) and ash-Syarhul Mumti '(1/117-118)
2. Based on the above arguments, it also brings dimakruhkan Manuscripts or books or a semisalnya, if in it there are verses of the Qur `an or the remembrance of Allah.
3. Forbidden and the backs facing the Qiblah (Ka'bah) in waste water absolute, either outside the building and inside the building. Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wasallam, said, "If you go to the loo, do not you face the qiblah in defecation and urination, and neither should their backs." (Narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim from Abu Ayyub) And in the hadith of Salman, " Prophet forbade us to face the Qiblah when defecating and urinating. "This is the opinion of Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari, Abu Hurairah, Ibn Mas'ud and Suraqah bin Malik from among friends, and also the opinion of Mujahid, Ibrahim An-Nakhai, Ats- Tsauri, Thawr, Ahmad-in-a history, Ata ', Al-Auzai and in others. And this is corroborated by the Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taimiah, ash-Syaukani in An-Nail and Al-Albani in Tamamul Minnah.
The existence of Ibn-Umar, inadvertently saw the Prophet sallallaahu alayhi wasallam, waste water with his back to the Qibla, the accident showed that he, sallallaahu alaihi wasallam-do is not to follow and do not want to be known by anyone, so the deed back to the Ka'bah when the waste water is khususiah (specificity) that he should not be emulated by his followers. Unlike the case when he was banned, then he would pee standing 'accidentally' show Huzaifah if he pee standing, it aims to pee standing emulated so this is not his specialty.
Among the evidence that reinforces this opinion is the words of the Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi wasallam, "Those who spit in the direction of the Qibla then he came to judgment in a state of saliva is between his eyes." (Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-Saheehah no . 222, 223) If you spit in the direction of the Qibla in the building (mosque and otherwise) are prohibited, then it would not pee in a room facing the Qiblah, let alone out-more appropriate for the forbidden?! O Berfikirlah people who have a conscience.
See full discussion and rebuttal to the difference between the outside of the building with the building: Nailul Authar (1/95-99), Sailul Jarrar (1/69), Tamamul Minnah (p. 59-60) and ash-Syarhul Mumti ' (1/125-126) And see also legal issues to do Jima 'and turned facing the Qibla in Ihkamul Ahkam (p. 44, 46-47).
